About Our Team
Robert D. Konen, DDS, FAGD.
Dr. Konen grew up in Kiel, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. In 1983, he earned his Doctor of Dental Science degree from Marquette University. In 2003, he received a Fellowship Award from the AGD. He is one of about 120 in Wisconsin to be a Fellow of the AGD .
After graduating, he practiced one year in Madison. He then moved to Baraboo after purchasing the practice from Dr. Bob Dewel in January of 1985. At that time the practice was located where the present Cornerstone Gallery is today. From 1983-1990 he was also on staff at MATC in the Dental Assisting Department.
Dr. Konen married his wife, Janet in 1989. They have 3 children, Karl (19), Daniel (17) and Nicholas (13). In his spare time he enjoys biking, running and photography. He belongs to the Baraboo Sharks Bicycling Club, Badgerland Striders and the US Cycling Federation where he is a member, coach and official. He has participated in over 120 triathlons, including the Wisconsin Ironman Triathlon.
Former Member of: American Academy of Orthodontics for the General Practitioner, American Academy of Sports Dentistry, Advisory Board for Lord’s Dental Studio, Advisory Board for D & S Dental Lab, Vacationland Alumni (past President), Commissioner on Baraboo Parks & Recreation board for 6 years, President of St. Joseph School J-Club, Board member of Friends of the Campus, Friends of the Zoo, Board member of Kid’s Companion, United Way, Kiwanis, and the Jaycees.
Current Member of: American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Sauk-Juneau-Adams Dental Society (past President), Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Wisconsin Alumni Association, Downtown Baraboo, Baraboo Chamber of Commerce, Baraboo Rotary, Baraboo High School Soccer Board, Baraboo High School Swim Board and St. John’s Church.
Dr. Konen believes one needs to be involved with the community and stay current professionally with constant continuing education. Dr Konen has more than 1200 hrs. of continuing education since his graduation from Marquette University.
Amanda L. Ganshert, DDS.
As a General Dentist, Dr. Ganshert believes in providing professional, customized care for all ages in a relaxed setting.
A Wisconsin native, Dr. Ganshert attended Marquette University as an undergraduate student. She continued her education at Marquette University School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1999. As an active member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, and Sauk-Juneau-Adam’s Dental Society, Dr. Ganshert feels continuing education is essential in keeping up-to-date with evolving dental technology.
In her spare time, Dr. Ganshert enjoys all the natural beauty the Baraboo area has to offer, and spending time with her active family.
